Getting it done:
Take 1 cup of Black Chane which have been washed and soaked overnight. Grind them into thick pieces and set aside.
Heat up the oil and ghee. Once hot, add the cumin seeds, onions and cook until they are transparent. Now add ginger and green chillies.
Add the dry spices and cook the tarka until the onions are golden brown. Now add the ground up Chole. Cook them for 10-15 minutes.
Add 1 cup of water and cook for another 15 minutes. Make sure it doesn't stick to the bottom, so keep stirring every few minutes.
Now add chopped up tomatoes. Mix those in and cook for 10 more minutes. When they're all cooked garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve with roti, paranthas or even puris.
