Getting it done:
In 4 Cups of water, add 2 cups of mixed dal with chopped ginger and garlic.
You'll need to add chopped green chillies, 1 Tbs of Turmeric powder, 1 Tbs of Butter, a chopped onion and salt to taste. We''ll let the Dal cook for 15 minutes.
For the Tarka, we'll heat 4 Tbs of Desi Ghee. Once it's hot, add 2 dry red chillies, 1 Tbs of Cumin seeds with a pinch of Hing.
Now we'll add our chopped onion and cook those for 3-5 minutes stirring continuously. Now we'll add our chopped tomato and cook the tarka thoroughly
Once the Tarka is done, add it to the boiled Dal. Mix those and add Garam Masala and Red chilli powder. Garnish with Coriander leaves and mix and serve with Roti or rice. Enjoy your Dal.
