Easy Vanilla Sponge Cake Without Oven Recipe | Eggless Sponge Cake | Vanilla Sponge Cake
Getting it done:
In a deep pan, add 1 Cup of salt and heat it for 5 minutes on medium high heat. Get your All purpose flour, cornflour, baking powder and baking soda and run them through a sieve. Set the dry ingredients aside.
Now in a mixer add butter and oil and mix, add the milk and condensed milk and now slowly add your sugar into it. Mix until the sugar is mixed and the mixture is smooth. Add the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, but do so slowly. Take your time folding the wet and dry ingredients together. Mix until smooth and add another 1/2 cup of milk in while folding. Swirl around a toothpick to aerate the cake.
To prepare your cake tin, grease all the sides generously and put a butter paper down so the bottom of the cake doesn’t stick to the pan.
Add the batter into the pan, and put it in the salt pan. Make sure to put something on the bottom of the pan to addd some height so the cake cooks evenly. You can use a stand or a steel bowl. Cook the cake for 40-45 minutes on low heat.
Stick a toothpick in to make sure the cake is cooked all the way through. The toothpick should come out clean.
Let the cake rest in the tin for 10-15 minutes before de-moulding. Cool it and now cut and serve. You can also add frosting to the cake to make it for a party. But I just made some for tea-time. So no frosting for us.
